Michael Hayes, PE
Principal Engineer
Michael is a graduate of Ohio University with a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. Michael began his career as a new construction design engineer and bridge inspector. After eight years in the design field, Michael began his forensic career. Since 2011, Michael has completed forensic investigations in a wide variety of cases including fire damage assessments, vehicle impact damage assessments, foundation evaluations, construction defect claims, code analysis, water infiltration causes, and evaluations of structural damages from explosions. Further, Michael has handled property loss claims involving natural events including snow and rain loading failures, flood damages, lightning damage, straight-line wind events, tornados, and hurricanes. Lastly, Michael has significant experience with roof claims including damage evaluations from wind and hail events, along with roof failure assessments and water infiltration.
Michael’s strong background in design and inspections gives him the unique ability to complete forensic structural analysis.
