Stephen is a graduate of the University of Maryland in Civil Engineering. He began his engineering career working on force protection measures to retrofit and improve facilities against terrorist attack. Looking for something more competitive he jumped at the opportunity to work in the forensic industry where he led a team of forensic engineers and architects in the investigation and repair of construction defects and building envelope failures. Stephen is certified in the investigation and analysis of numerous exterior finish systems and has led a broad range of varied investigations into the cause and origin of moisture, structural, and civil issues. He works for a range of clients including attorneys, insurance companies, and general contractors to assess problems with the built environment. His diverse path and broad understanding of complex issues has resulted in a record of success for his clients.
